Thanks to the Massachusetts Dept. of Conservation and Recreation for awarding WTI with an Urban Challenge Grant to help fund our youth education programs.

Tree Planting

We love to share the love of planting trees with students. We often hear stories of how students keep a close eye on the trees they plant, watching them grow and change through the seasons and years.

Guest Speaking

There's a lot to teach students about urban forests, they are a complicated ecosystem that does more for us than we ever think about. WTI opens students' eyes to the way our environment works with engaging presentations for all ages.

Volunteer Opportunities

WTI gladly hosts volunteer groups from schools to assist with our Tree Health Checks, our work maintaining Dodge Park, and large community planting events.

Internships and After School Programs

In addition to our work in the classroom WTI has partnered with schools to offer internships and facilitate club meetings and worked with other local organizations to host educational programs for youth. We also have a yearly summer employment opportunity, the Young Adult Foresters.
